Sc430 Roof Will Not Open

When i try close roof again push the close button for the roof trunk lid is open and roof go up.

Sc430 roof will not open.

When i press the button it only opens the rear trunk and could hear the roof motor unlocking functioning but will not open. It only opens about a couple to few inches and stops. This appears to be a fairly common problem but my searches so far have not revealed anything concrete to troubleshoot and resolve. Fuel door works fine.

Today when closing the roof on a 2006 sc430 we noticed that despite holding down the roof button the front windows did not close after the roof had closed they did however close with the switches on the door. Roof top not opening when press the button apr 17 2015. When the roof is up i heard the roof try to go upper but is in right place mechanical operation manual operation has been employed only to close trunk lid looks like this roof lock is not working or microswitch. My roof will not open.

Just now reconnected fresh battery and she sprang to life immediately of course and everything is fine except the boot and roof will not operate from the switches. We then noticed that the roof open button was showing red as though the roof hadn t completed closing although the roof was up. The roof will not fold down and the trunk will not automatically open from the interior latch. Ok it is the trunk latch and the retractable roof on the sc430.

It seems tho it s going to open but gets stuck.
